I rang up the vet earlier to make an appointment for Buster as he does this thing where he seems to be choking for aup to a minute then he is fine again. Nedless to say it scares the life out of me. Hopefully they can find out what is wrong with him.
Whilst I was on the phone Tilly started being very sick and made a scare attempt to eletricute herself by throwing up on the plugs for the TV:shock:  so she is off to the vets as well to see what is wrong with her. I have shut her in the bathroom until then so that she is safe from plugs!!!
The nurse said to bring stool samples incase it is Lung worm.

They have a appointment at 5.30 so I will let you know what happens then.

Oh dear. At least the vet's got to the bottom of what's the problem. Never heard of laryngitis (sp) for cats . . .

Still - I hope both you and they are feeling better in the morning Sally.

Never heard of laryngitis (sp) for cats . . .

I had a cat years ago that had an attack of laryngitis..

I had never heard of larangytis either but it makes sense. I hope that is all that is wrong as if it doesn't clear up with the course of antibiotics then he will need an x-ray and bronchiel wash!! But at least it will be the ned of his choking session tbat he has which will be better for me and him as I tend to sleep with an ear alert for any choking sound incase he doesn't recover one time.

I am feeling a tiny bit more human and Tilly has stopped sulking after the worming paste and has had some fish. She has yet to find out that she still need her antibiotic pill!!!!

Sally

ps why can't my two ever have problem that are easy to spell!!!

Tily has just been sick again so we are back to the vet again at 2pm as she was only given fish yesterday and won't touch food today.
I am still feeling rough but I don't think that it will last much longer as I have nearly had it a week now.
Buster seems to be OK at the moment

I have just got back and Tilly has had loads more injections as well as some kitty gaviscon. The vet think she has just got a 48 hour somach enteritis.
But if she is sick again she will have to be hopitalised so they can make sure she hasn't got anything m,ore serious and run blood test and all that.
So I am hoping that she won't be sick again.

Mission worming tilly has gone slightly better today as I wrapped her in a very large towel which worked much better as most of it went in her not on her.

She is not eating though and I haven't heard her drinking.

Keep an eye on her Sally, she can manage a little while not eating but with her vomiting she really needs to be drinking. Hope she starts to show improvement soon x

Tilly has stopped being sick so for the moment doesn't need to be hospitalise and BUster is getting better too. The vet has decided that it wass probably the aitibiotics that made her sick so she is going for daily injections.

Buster has just had another wheezing fit so I am not sure wht to make of that.

Does anyone know of a cat litter that doesn't produce dust as this might be making him worse.

Anyway I am back at the vets tomorrow for tilly's antibiotic injection so will mention to him then
