A lovely 3hr walk along the canal.

Tarn went for his walk on the common this morning, so I took Breeze with me on a lovely trek through the Arboretum and back home along the canal.
It was very frosty and the ground was hard to begin with.

As we walked through the arboretum, I saw a grey Heron mooching around.

but then we got a bit close..

By the time we reached the canal, the frost had melted in many sun hit places.

However the Ducks and Moorhens were walking on water!

As we walked a little further, we were met by this!!

A few minute detour and we rejoined the canal, to find this Duck escaping the cold water.

This one though, enjoyed a cold bath!

Dawn the heron is amazing :shock: I would run miles but at the same time find him very compelling to look at.
