Will CPL or other rescues want a nearly full bag of dry and 10 pouches of wet Renal Diet? It's low protein, so obviously not the thing for my boys, or for kittens and young cats in a shelter.
D'you think it will be useful for oldies, or would they rather stick to regular food?
Obvious way to find out is to phone and ask, but I'm not in the mood for that yet - thought I'd pick your brains

Alex - I've got half a tub of tree bark powder. Would you like to try Teddie on it, using it with fish liquor to bulk out her food, as we discussed earlier?

CPL in Aberdeen snapped up my offer of all the renal foods I had left after Winston left us.

I gave mine to Wood Green after I lost Midas to CRF. They were very grateful. Saves them some money at the end of the day! :)

Thanks both.
I'll give MGFT a ring in a few days. It's the nearest shelter.

DM I would love the tree bark powder, but only if you're sure you wont need it for the boys!

I really hope the boys won't need 'invalid food' for many a long year. I'll get it in the post to you.

On the subject of specialist food, Leia doesn't care especially for the Urinary diet...do you think it would be all right to share some of it with Onyx, the little stray I'm feeding?

I would think it would be okay Eileen, I don't think it'll do any harm, and think what she's eating on the streets anyway!

Supposedly one of the neigbors was going to feed her when Carolyn left, but she was looking skinny and hanging out in my yard, so I started...she looks glossy and well fed now; was't going to give her the special food all the time; just when Leia wouldn't finish a tin, add that to Onyx's. Didn't think it would harm her, but welcomed another opinion...thanks!
