Just a little message for my 1st (very own) cat Brrrrp! Who kept me company when I lived alone in London, and loved me even though she hated people;)

She only lived 3 years but she was the best little cat I could ever have asked for.

Rest in peace my fat furry catpuss xx

The chirruping noise that cats make when they are surprised or that mother cats use to call their kittens was the only noise she ever made. She was originally going to be calle Tabitha, but this teeny tiny brrrrrping ball of energy could only of ever had one name! She chose it herself:lol:

She did only have a short life but I like to think it was a happy one. I got her from this godawful man in London who had loads of (obviously related) unneutered cats. He SOLD her to us when she was blatantly only 5/6 weeks old, claiming she was 9 weeks. She was so small she could sleep in the palm of my hand and not touch the fingers - she slept on my pillow for her first 2 weeks fleas and all - I was afraid I would step on her in the night:o

She had allergies her whole life, resulting in a bald belly bless her, and was highly aggressive towards people and animals - unless they looked like they didn't like her first (cats eh!)

I was just so glad to have her, she was such a big personality in such a small package - I don't think i'll ever come across another cat like her (the two I have now are total softies!)

Lenore - she sounds a very special cat - it's the ones that survive against the odds that are often the more full of character.

Sorry she's gone but I suspect she continues to live in your heart.

Unfortunately for her she wasn't the sharpest tool in the box either (though that made her all the more endearing to me!). For most of her life we lived next to a marina in London, here...http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c154/Cloakedkungfu/Picture064.jpg ..One night (about 11pm) during the summer Brrrrp was out and we heard an enormous racket outside, you know what cats sound like when they fight:o , followed by an almighty splash, my OH looked at me and said "I think a cat fell in the marina...........I bet it was our cat who fell in the marina!". So we dashed outside and sure enough there she was in hanging on, for what appeared to be dear life, mewing this horrible 'help me' mew, to the chain round the edge! So OH jumped in after her......at which point Brrrrrp, fairly sure he was trying to drown her - why else would he jump in ;), swam to one of the wooden supports of the walkway, climbed up it and ran to me, who was calling her at the other side of the GATE (oh yes) to the marina. While I took her inside showered her and then dried her, he had to climb out of the dock - cracking a rib in the process - and knock on boat windows til he found someone to open the gate for him, I'm not sure how he explained himbelf TBH

**I may add that I sobbed throughout this whole process because while I knew cats can swim I wasn't sure Brrrrps tiny cat brain did!! I also took her to a rather 'intrusive' vets appt the next day, worried she had swallowed Thames water...............Poor OH was left to find out if he was OK in due course despite the 'heroic rescue'

I do miss all our crazy adventures

ooh found another pic of her before she lost her yella belly (well its starting to go but still!)http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c154/Cloakedkungfu/Picture083.jpg

I know I shouldn't laugh, but that conveyed such a vivid picture of her yowling for help and then rescuing herself..and your poor OH...sorry, gotta laugh! Great story!

Wow, she was a character and a half wasn't she. Fab story, personally in between the tears of worry, I would have had tears of laughter running down my face at your OH!!!
