I think Magnus was pretty much a one-off. I don't think Mastermind is as good now, with John Humphries. But maybe that's because some of the specialist subjects seem just so restrictive - 'what did I have for my breakfasts between 1.1.07 and 7.7.07?' Maybe not quite that bad, but pretty off-the-wall some of them

Mastermind was a 'must watch' in our house in the 70s under my father's influence. I loved it, and still love it - I think Humphrys is a very good second best, although I'd rather he didn't 'engage' with the contestants so much . . . but hey, TV presenting styles have changed.

Saddened to read of Mr Magnusson's death. He always seemed such a nice man and he wasn't that old really :(

Mastermind was 'big' in our house when I was little..

It's a great shame he's gone, Mastermind definitely isn't the same without him :(

My dad always loved Mastermind with Magnus Magnusson. A sad loss.
