Fennec fox.
Looks OK but I don't think Fennec quite works as a kitty-name

Ok,ok....yes she is with me, we picked her up this evening. She is 13 weeks old and her father is a grand champion Black Oriental  Her mum is chocolate tabby point Siamese. We hummed and ahhed about having another but seriously hubby is smitten with Orientals/Siamese since we got Porsha and then Bliss, this is quite a revelation and he was all for me getting another  So having met the breeder at the Supreme and subsequently seeing her cats/kittens (She bred Bliss' mum), hubby offered to buy her me for Xmas  I am booking her first show tomorrow but Bliss will go out first as hers is already booked then I am planning to take them both out together to a show in February..

Mildred is currently top of the list for names but I am open to any suggestions ;)

14-12-2006, 10:46 PM
My sister has a bantam named Ivy, after the lady at the check-out in Asda who cocks her head to the side and says 'Do you want a baaaaaaag?', like a hen looking at a beetle and crooning! :-D

PS Cracker?

Kazz
14-12-2006, 10:48 PM
I like Matilda, although my all time fav name I am keeping a secret. ;)

Kazz
14-12-2006, 10:49 PM

Fran

Fran
14-12-2006, 10:50 PM
Okay okay I'll let you know how about Tasha, or Tabitha as she is a Tabby?

Tabitha was top of my list with her being a tabby but the children and hubby weren't as enthusiastic :?

Things are not running too smoothly  Maud, Claude, Clooney are fine with her. Porsha adores her  Sylv and Matilda haven't met her yet but Bliss positively hates her :( I have never, ever seen Bliss grumble at anyone not even once but now she is grumbling at everyone not just the new kitten :?

Oh another name we are considering is Delilah..

Moli
15-12-2006, 12:06 AM
Poor Bliss is probably feeling her nose out of joint, sure she will get used to her eventually...

smudgley
15-12-2006, 12:07 AM
They'll all settle & get on in the end.

Bliss is probably feeling a bit "put out" by the new arrival, you know how sensitive cats are. They'll be best mates soon. :)

Mags

It's early days Fran .......... sure they'll be great pals soon :D

Fran
15-12-2006, 12:10 AM
Yes, I guessed it was a jealousy issue but she is that bad she is grumbling at us  So out of character :( I do hope she settles with her as we love Bliss to bits and I won't see her unhappy :(

How is the kitten reacting to Bliss' grumbling/hissing, etc? If she isn't too fazed by it, maybe Bliss will accept her eventully ......?

smudgley
15-12-2006, 12:16 AM
She will settle Fran.
Cats hate change & a new addition always causes fireworks / moods / trouble!
This time next week you'll be posting photos of them all curled up together at the next "cat committee meeting"

The trouble is - kitty will feel on edge (naturally with the changes) & Bliss will sense that.

She doesn't seem too fazed but she isn't pushing matters...she is interested in Bliss bt standing her ground as it were..

We've never really had this sort of problem before, Porsha and Bliss were accepted openly by the mogs as was Clooney when we got him. Matilda and Sylv are not really cat friendly so we keep them seperate to avoid any problems anyway. Both Bliss and Porsha are our babies but for some reason Bliss feels threatened where as Porsha is loving her new play mate??

Fran

In bed now, The new kitten is layed under the covers between hubby and me  The rest of the cats have been shut out of the room for the night. Bliss is on Em's high sleeper bed sulking

Oh Fran, can't believe I missed this news last night!! How exciting and she is just gorgeoussssssssssssssss!!!!! I want one!!!!! I thought that I had enough with 5 now, but maybe there's room for one more :)!!

I'm sure that she'll settle in with Bliss and the others soon enough. Siamese are very highly strung anyway, so Bliss is probably just having a stroppy teenage moment!! Fingers crossed for them all.

More pics soon please!!!!!!!!!!
