View Full Version : Felix has managed to escape
I can't believe it - I have been so careful - but he has managed to escape through the catflap tonight! Why do they make lockable catflaps when they never work!!
I have no idea if he will ever come back - I know you can't make a cat stay with you but I'm totally gutted - I'm just hoping he'll come back in the morning for some food :(
Oh Emm, I'm sorry to hear that :(
Hopefully he will remember the hand that fed him and he will be waiting in the morning ...........
I really hope so - I know cats are free and choose where they want to be - but doesn't make it any easier. At least he is neutered now so he won't be adding to the cat population any more.
I am so sorry to hear this :( Hopefully, he will be in waiting to be fed in the morning! Do let us know what happens Emm..
will do - thanks - I'm going to have a sleepless night worrying about him.
He will probably come back to be fed, now he is neutered won't want to roam as much...Hope he is back soon...
thanks Moli - I'm hoping that too
Panic over :D :D :D
I saw him out the front and called him and he came running over to me came into the house on his own accord ate some food and sat on my knee for a cuddle :D
I'm just going to keep the catflap open now - theres no point closing it if they can open it any way.
So pleased to hear he is back, now he knows he can come and go as he wants he will probably become a real house cat..
:smt026...... brilliant news Emm, you can sleep peacefully tonight now! :D
You always wonder that first time when they go out don't you? He'll probably be fine now;)
Hes gone back outside again but I'm not so worried I think he sees this place as home now - he ate loads of food and gave me a big cuddle - so its all good :D

Emm. so glad he's back! But if you really don't want him going out, you could always barricade the cat flap the way Mags did when Cassie was doing her escape act ! .......:-D
So pleased he came home! What a relief :D

Cats are anything but daft - they know which side their bread's buttered. I do think though that once a cat has been used to going out they will never be completely content at being forced indoors and I don't think it would be fair. They are independent creatures, which I admire but I think now he has found you he won't be in any hurry to get lost:lol:
