Daffodils

I was clearing a few more leaves from the garden this afternoon and was surprised to see my daffodils were shooting, they are almost 2" tall ! :shock:

Is it my imagination or is that earlier than normal?

That does sound early Mags, I can see mine peeping above the soil, but not as much as yours. Lovely thought though, Spring & daffodils....

Compared to here, that's way early! Mine don't start showing until February or early March. But the anemone blandas I put in about a month ago are up...worried that they'll be killed when the really bitter weather sets in!

They are really early Mags, I am lucky to see mine, end Feb begining of March...!

Cover them over with some top soil or compost Mags make them work :) may help keep the frost away too.

Good idea Kazz, thanks for that - I was worried about the frost ;)

Mine were like that last November Mags. They just stoood all through the cold weather (the local TV weather man reminded us that he forecast snow on this day last year! :shock: ) and finally bloomed with our late spring after all the hateful frosts.
I haven't poked about to see if they're there now .... probably! :)

Forgot to say mine are up to can see some and have taken my own advice throwing compost on them.
