As buster make a very strange sound when he is sleeping that is a sort of wheezing whistling snoring sound.
Also a few minutes ago he seemed to have an eppisode wherre he didn't seem to be able to brethe. he was fine about 30 seconds later after coughing.

Anyway hope somone can help as I am worried incase he isn't well

Mine snore, at times.
Keep an eye on the coughing though; when my cat had kitty kennel cough earlier this year the vet told me that coughing in cats was unusual (except fur balls)
It was probably just a one-off thing, but be aware.

Jet also snores and cries in her sleep.

The other night she was sleeping on the settee beside me and she must have been dreaming, she was crying and her paws were shaking and tail shaking.

She lies in the strangest position, at times on her side and she twists her head around or her favourite is lying half on / half of the settee with her head dangling over the edge.

One of my 3 snores quite heavily. Also, he does this coughing (sounds like a kind of honking sound). It's different to furball expulsion and really worried me at first but he's not far short of 10 years old and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Some of mine have snored, some haven't; seems to depend on the cat and the position s/he's sleeping in. They all dream; love to watch them twitching their paws and the rapid eye movement...wonder what they're dreaming.....

Winston used to snore when he was in a deep sleep. The Diva sometimes grumbles a bit and Bernie is always silent unless he wants food.

Just like people some cats snore some don't. As long as Buster is healthy and alert and isn't off his food I wouldn't worry. My Tate snores when he is awake but he is a bit thick.
