Chancer had really bad ears when we took him on, thick with mites....He has his ears washed out when he was neutered, and has drops for the back of his neck, which I apply monthly, he had some on the 5th, next lot the 5th of next month...I have been cleaning out his ears regularly...This past couple of day he has been walking with his head to the side, and scratching his ear....
Do you think,I should take him back to the vet, or should I just keep cleaning his ears??

Is there any sign of something in his ears at all, Moli? If not, I would be inclined to leave him for a few days and just clean his ears.

Difficult to offer advice from 400 miles. You know him - does he seem distressed or just 'mildly bothered'? I can imagine it might take a while to lose a heavy mite load. Or maybe they are all dead and need clearing out - either you or the vet. The vets have their wonderful solvent cleaner, with the long neck to really get in amongst it.
Sorry - not a lot of help

I'd take him back to the vets if he were mine Moli. It might be an ear infection rather than mites? At least you'd know what it was as the vets would be able to take a look down the ear canal with their auroscope thingy. Let us know how he is

I have been cleaning his ears twice a day and it seems to have helped, he is no longer holdong his head to one side...:D
