View Full Version : BG has gone missing :( - Roebuck, Stevenage

BG went walkabout over the weekend - not entirely sure when as I had a couple of nights away and put the auto-feeders down, but haven't seen him since I got back. Have talked to a few of the neighbours and one thinks he saw BG yesterday in the local park.

Reported to RSPCA, CPL, phoned the local vet and checked with the council (who apparently have a microchip scanner, but it's not working and they're not bovvered  ) - nada...

Doing posters today (don't have a printer at home). BG is young (about 2) and plain grey (bit rusty so may look brown in some lights/from a distance). He's friendly, but shy around strangers, especially men and may bite or scratch if stressed. He's a fairly large cat - slim, but very tall with green/yellow eyes. EDIT: should have said earlier! - no collar, but he is chipped.

Any news, please e-mail sandre_j at hotmail dot com or message me on here.

Come home baby

Thanks all for concern. Still no sign :( - if I could just catch sight of him it would be easier, but I got woodland, 2 parks 9one HUGE) and a primary school within a mile of the house and he could be anywhere.

I'm so sorry Emma  - I know you'll be looking out for him in case he's run mad and decided to head back to yours

Oh Sandre, it isn't your fault, no need to apologise, I will keep my eyes peeled just incase he does turn up.

Sandre cat's are notorious for wandering off and there's nothing we can do about it. You don't think he's been locked in the school somewhere do you by the caretaker? Maybe ask the school headteacher if you can put a poster up in the reception area where most parents/children will see the photo. I know our local school do it for the parents but I suppose it's up to the discretion of the headtecher.

Hope he comes home soon

The search has been continuing, posters, leaflets door-to-door (up over 600), talking to loads of people, advertised in countless places.

Update: four more sightings, one rubbish (black cat), two maybes and one (tonight's) quite probable. The lady is a catlover and will try to catch him and keep him in.

Here's hoping. I will let you all know (and then Emma, if it is my baby boy back I need a week to clean the house because it's been neglected this last month, and then you must come and visit him!)
