Rosie brought a mouse to the back door early this morning (dark outside mouse deceased) and was meowing. Anyway little Alfie was upstairs playing so I took him downstairs to show him what Rosie had brought home for the supper/breakfast table. She was outside by now and on hearing her meowing Alfie went to investigate and came back with the mouse in his mouth! Now for Rosie to give up her kill is incredible makes me wonder whether she had intentionally been calling to him to show him what to do? I know it sounds awful but I never chastise her for bringing in prey as I know it is a contribution and a great gesture on the part of a cat.

What a clever girl she is teaching Alfie.

My Mol's caught a bird the other week, half killed it then left Salt to do the rest.

One of my cats 'hunts'and catches balled up pairs of socks and calls for the kittens to come and feed off them, she has even brought home childrens underwear that we presume is off neighbours washing lines for the kittens to have, guess she isn't much of a hunter?
Fat lazy Tom cat only ever brings home live things like mice and frogs.
