Scooter poorly on his birthday.

Scooter is 14 today!:D However the last few days he has been a little "off" When he has come in he has sat down, then lay down then howled, then just as quick, got up and eaten his food! I wasnt sure what this was, old Cat, very hot temperatures, possibly exhausted due to no water all night, being a Cat that will not stay in, or perhaps a bit of pain, as he has had painful back legs before, being harrassed by next doors dog!

He has a very slight heart murmur, no fluid around his lungs as far as they can tell, and they are not sure this would cause the problem anyway as he doesnt display typical symptoms of a Cat with a heart problem, normal temperature, his legs feel ok, but then they never feel pain at the Vets do they!:-D he has anti-inflammatories for over the weekend, if that doesnt help, he will be back in next week for an ECG and an Ultra-sound. Hope my ginger Mog is ok.

Oh dear - Dawn, I do hope Scooter is OK. It's a worry when they're unwell (don't I know), especially when it's difficult to tell what it might be.

Thanks all, he has just eaten a huge bowl of chicken for his birthday tea, then beat Wiggy up!! Dont think he feels too bad at the moment. :)

Dawn when Oscar and Cleo were about 12-13 I decided they were getting on and worried about their health, they reached at 15 or so I worried too, then they got to 17 and I decided the worry would kill me before them ;) then they reached their 20's and I still worried now as Cleo approaches 24 next month August I still worry so am here to say "WELCOME TO THE WORRY CLUB" :)

Happy Birthday SCooter, fingers crossed you were just having an off day and it is nothing to worry about. I agree with Kazz, welcome to the worry club. I have only just joined for Ginger, as up until recently he didn't show any signs of being old, but they are just slightly there now, so I worry!!

He's fine thanks, bit slow tonight but managed to eat all his tea and what Jessie left too!! Looks stiff rather than ill if you know what I mean.
