yeha, hubby bringing some up thursday night! he kindly informed me they should be growing up the fence not along the floor.
So he got the reply of "well how can I make them grow up if they dont want to". made him laugh for at least ten minutes!
I forget what they all, i know we planted some pansy seeds, some persian jewles, and erm....dunno the rest.
(I'm a useless gardener arent i)

Ooo I love your rose, a gorgeous colour.
Your garden is looking lovely CJ, unfortunately I'm about as much help as a plastic teapot when it comes to plants
plastic teapots are better than chocoalte ones though :-)

Fourth *is* Nigella/Love-in-a-mist. Sixth primula and something. Ninth, I think is a weed, though we used to use the leaves to make a herb broth in one of my weird societies. The catnip doesn't look like anything that I've grown as catnip, but there are variations. Mine have had rounder leaves.
Right , stopping now. Rover has plunked himself on top of my wrists, and there is only so much weightlofting one can do in a day. Think he thinks he's hungry...

Oi CJ just noticed your location. Hope you can say it ;)
well if it isnt catnip it explains why my lot are ignoring it.
be good to find out cos I made rover a catnip abg too, dont think he'd appreciate a weednip bag as much!

"St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave" Or words to that effect. ;-) The 'Ll' sounds like a hissing cat, for the rest, consult one of the excellent Welsh sites on the net. I can never remember exactly - and I'm trying to learn Welsh...
Weed bag is probably just as good. :-) Just don't declare it as such to the Post Office.

If neither of you speaks Welsh, it's probably better to pronounce them the way they look. Unless it's *all* "explosion at a printers"? :-)

Close enough, so long as you found where you were going it doesn't matter.
My hubby's English and has lived in Wales for the past 20odd years and he can't speak it.
So long as nobody makes me say the latin names for plants I'm oky
Sorry CJ, I have to pass on the plants:?......don't recognise them, except the primula/polyanthus..... but I imagine you want the name of the little so an so next to it!:lol:
I'd like to say, though, that your garden looks very tidy now!:D
Can't help with the plant identification Carly - I'm hopeless but must say your garden is looking very nice now
yes i knew that the bigger one was a primula, cos when i told hubby he said isnt that cheese spread!
hmm, i'll leave them and see if they flower.
Can we determine between us if tha last big uns a weed or catnip?
(i cant send rover a weed bag!!)
CJ.....this is a catnip plant........it looks more like the plant in your 3rd photo;)
http://www.holoweb.com/cannon/images/Nepeta_cataria.jpg
well the one oin the third picture definalty WASNT where we planted the catnip at all, it was planted somwehere in the far back corner.
Unless i was done again, like when i got so called bonsai seeds to be told theyre ruddy great big oak trees lol.
I've got the seeds so will plant another in a pot, if it dont look the same I'll rip this imposter weed up!
rover, you'll get your catnip cushion eventually!!!!
and theres one on the way for oscar too!!!
so, ( no laughing please) i just made three cat cushions and filled them with dried WEED leaves in this case!!!!

That is definitely not catnip! Rub a leaf between your fingers & sniff: catnip has a very noticeable strong smell. If you like, would be glad to mail you (or anyone) some seed from my "mutant" catnip which has grown, I kid you not, shoulder high this year!! (Of course, I'm only 5/1, but still!!) Actually, the reason the catnip is so rampant this year is because it's competing with some bamboo which has invaded it's spot...cut the bamboo down last year & it's back worse than ever! Seriously, this is a nice heathy strain of catnip & reseeds every year. Let me know if you'd like some seed come Fall. Am still laughing about the Welsh... :-D
ok, ripped up that catnip imposter weed!!!! LOL.
going to be laughing about this for years, I just know it.
I've asked hubby to look out for some catnip seeds in the garden centre next time he does a delivery there.
So, when you have all stopped giggling at my expense......
actually,a bout the wlesh...
I was told (by an english person of course!!)that two L's were pronounced as a g, which probably didnt help my welsh of course!!!!
You are a tonic CJ.....

Hmmm - definitely having you on;)
I'm from a village called Llay and used to get people stopping and asking if I could tell them where Lay was:roll: - just think what they would've called it if they thought LL was pronounced as a G
