Rescue centres just aren't shifting cats/kittens right now and I have a very desperate cat here whose situation is becoming urgent.

Tom is 8 years old but young at heart, enormous (overweight) and friendly & affectionate. He has lived with children. He MUST have outdoor access so needs a semi-rural/quiet are to live. He cannot be strictly outdoors as he loves human contact, but he will not use a litter tray and is used to going outside his entrire life.

Nobody wants him because he is 8 (which in my experience is NOT old for a cat!) and black. But he's GORGEOUS! He is castrated, fully vaccinated, and treated for fleas & worms.

He is currently in the hospital but I am getting increasing pressure from my employer to get him out. I have had to tell them he has a home pending, though he doesn't. I have been searching for 3 weeks.

Can anyone help???

8 certainly isn't old Em. Poor cat - really hope he finds a home soon. I don't suppose CP could help? although knowing you, I'm sure you have tried everything. :(

Hi all

Just to say Tom is now here, he did ok bless him on the journey. He ended up curling up in the back of the car - minus catbasket. He was shocked to find "others" when we arrived home, but they were just as shocked, especially as he is such a big cat. He is doing well I think. He loves going outside. The other cats just follow him at a discreet distance, fascinated! Will get pics and keep u posted on his progress. P.S. Never seen a cat so big (he's a bear)!
