Went under the bed to get my shoes and found this little stash :shock:

Hows poor little Dusty after her Jab???
Oh dear, she's sulking under the computer desk right now, looking at me with those eyes :roll:

She's like that as when she was a baby (8 weeks) our old vet (a bad one :shock: ) was really unprepared I felt at giving her her first jab. She was tiny and he wasn't even calming or gentle with her, he didn't talk to her or anything, grabbed her by the scruff and put in the needle.

Well needless to say she SCREAMED, out came the needle, injection proceeded to squirt all over her, me, the table. He didn't even offer us a tissue, just got the next jab and did the same thing!

Needless to say, we changed vets immediately, and my current vet was horrified when I told her what had happened, what a bad way to start a puppy's vet experiences! And as the innoculations weren't fully taken she had to be started again, but my vet gave me the first set free :D So i've stuck with these people and they are always really lovely, but Dusty still screams, 18 month later :roll:

Poor little girl, its really annoying when so called professionals can frighten a pup like this, I have the same trouble with Tara, she is crying before we even get in the surgery!!Give Dusty a big cuddle from me....

What a shame. I remember my vet being so sweet with Dinah, speaking in eaky-squeaky puppy talk, showing me how to hold her so she wouldn't notice, giving her a crumb of yeasty dog treat etc. And she had a microchip inserted as well as vaxx. :shock: She never turned a hair and is perfectly happy to give any vet a good licking now!
