Found this very unusal, none of my other rose flowers seem to have these. They look almost like more rose buds in the flower. Sorry the quality isn't great, told you my camera was naff :(

Nice closeup of the fuchsia! More pics when it's in full bloom, please? Never saw anything like that rose; does look as if buds are coming from the center...??? What kind of jasmine is that; doesn't look like winter jasmine to me...??

I'm gonna keep an eye on that rose head and see what happens. Will keep you informed.

I will definately be taking more piccies of the fuscia once it's in full flower. It'll look lovely and can't wait :D

Moli - The two roses are the same variety, same bush actually.

I've discovered another rose in my garden which I didn't know I had. Been here 4.5 years and only now found the rose  It's growing through the hedge so once I can get some decent pics of it I'll post them.

That peachy colour is lovely.

In the first pic I think that you may have some rose gall in the flowers. Have you seen sort of 'hairy knots' on the stems of roses sometimes? - particularly wild/dog rose. can't remember the country name for it ... somebody's pincushion maybe? It's caused by a little wasp laying eggs in the stem. I think the odd 'things' in the flowers could be where it has layed in the flower bud. I feel a google coming on again!

EDIT
Robin's Pincushion.
Here it is on a stem

Your first rose has what is called Proliferation, they can remain as buds, or develop into stem bearing flowers, sometimes leaves...It can be caused by late frosts...sometimes a virus...

Checked just now and one of them appears to be opening.

Should I cut them off or are they OK?

Moli

I would leave them on, and see what happens...

That's interesting.
Do you think the frost affects the tiny 'growing' cells and makes them forget they've already set off a flower bud, so they do it again? Don't think I've ever seen it but I'm not a rose expert by any means.

I think you can just make out some yellow rose buds. This rose has come up from under the hedge.
