One of my hedges has a huge hole in it.

One of my other hedges has started to take root in me lawn so I've dug it up, roots and all. I've planted that in the section of hedge that needs to be blocked up.

Should I now leave it to it's own devices or should I be doing something else?

I'm flippin useless honestly

If you've got some ordinary plant-food, you could give it that. There probably won't be many nutrients left where the old hedge was. Water, then wait and see? If the hole is a result of a plant-disease, the new plant may not take.

I don't know why there's a hole in my hedge, it looks as tho it's been taken out for some reason. I've waterd the little one and added some outdoor plant food to the water so I'll just keep an eye on it and see how it does, if it doesn't work I'll try something else :D

I always put some bone meal in when planting shrubs, it gives the roots a good start..

I am hopeless.

I dig a hole and stick plant in and water it.

It either grows or dies 50/50 chance of survival!!!

All good advice - plant and hope!
You may need to water anything you plant more than you think - the plants already there will take a lot of water.
