I ordered a big scratch pole from the net, it was an extra £10 for delivery which I didn't mind...Got a phonecall this morning, as we live in the Highlands of Scotland delivery is £30....We don't live in the Highlands! but they say we do!!! Now the firm I bought the pole from is looking for a cheaper carrier....

They have no right to charge you extra as it wasn't stated in their delivery terms Moli.....

It did say delivery would cost more to the Higlands of Scotland, but we do not live in the Highlands!!I have a good mind to cancel the bloomin' thing, although its not the suppliers fault...

Moli - you've every right to be annoyed. However it's the supplier's responsibility to stick to their terms and conditions and if necessary to take a hit on their profit and supply for the price arranged.

I know if we mis-quote to a client who subsequently places the project with us, and then we discover WE'VE got the estimate wrong - we have to swallow the difference - the client will jsut say 'tough' . . . and I would too!!!!!

If you can prove you dont live in the Highlands then you shouldnt pay Highlands delivery charges - simple as that!!!
