Used to grow a couple indoors, in the bay window, but nothing out yet here. Still planning the plugs. :-)

I've put out my Christmas cactus in its basket hanging from the Japanese maple. The Boston fern, spider plant & philodendron are still indoors; we had a run of low to mid 70's but has dropped to the very low 60's in the day & 40's at night...this will be for the rest of the week..so not yet. Did put the potted amaryllis & the cycad outside; they don't mind it a bit chilly. What's your weather like now?
Mine have been made up ready for a few weeks but I won't put them outdoors until next month...
Got a couple ready to go out, but we have been getting cold wind...So will wait till next month...
I usually have them done but not out out yet but due to circumstances I haven't even considered them yet:( which is not like me at all. I hope to get my act together this weekend :) Have got the hanging basket compost and JohnInnes No2 to mix in for the tubs, but nothing else apart from the pots and basket themselves.
Youhave reminded me how behind I am this year but I will catch up.

I think I've misunderstood this: I was referring to plants IN hanging baskets that live there year round & that go outside in the Summer...sounds now to me as if you all are planting new things in baskets to go out this Summer...???
I only put hanging baskets out in the summer DM, make them up each year with annuals in them.....

Me three. Although I do have some pots that have things that live there all year:)

Thanks for the link Mags but perhaps I might be better off buying a ready made one :-D
Actually, if you bought one this year you could see how they were made up and it would give you some idea for next year.....

I will buy a ready made one I think for the front of the house. Can they go outside now??
I did fill up a pot with compost and seeded it, but Chloe seems to think it is her personal litter tray so dont suppose those seeds will grow into anything. So much stuff in the border it is overflowing with flowers and colour that she cannot find anywhere to go!!!
Here's one of my hanging baskets, pic taken today.......hopefully it will improve in a few weeks!
