got some lovely photos today. tao keeps trying to suckle indie :shock: im not sure if i should let him, he made her nipple go all red. but she didnt seem to mind. should i worry about it?

Beautiful pictures, Tao is so cute...Indie is a beauty too...My staffies cuddle the cats too...

When we got the kitten she was 6 weeks old & the dog was having a phantom pregnancy. The kitten liked to suckle from the dog & the dog loved her new baby & washed her & encouraged her to keep suckling. At first it was cute, but the phantom went on & on & on & on, pretty much until her next season (when she was mated anyway) We tried & tried & tried to discourage her, but still she carried on. :roll: The dog went away to stay with some friends for 6 weeks at one point (not because of the cat) but we thought that would stop her for good. BUT the dog came back, the cat went bonkers that her buddy was home & started again.
She's now 2 and a half & still does it, they have a lovely close relationship & although it's a bit weird, it doesn't do either of them any harm.

beautiful pics....and it forms a bond when they are close like that. Its why William is such a 'doggy' cat. She was an orphan when I got her at about 5 weeks, and she suckled on Jake...which was amazing as he was a boy...although he loved it:D

They are gorgeous pictures Jen really good looks like you have the making of a beautiful friendship there. So pleased it has all gone well and seeing those pictures I wouldn't worry he is not eating he looks like he is well and truely settled in.

Be careful though he will rule your heart and your dog and yourhome that one.:-D
