He could well be Jac. At least it's not too hot, so if he is shut in he will be able to cope.
Thinking of you and still crossing fingers. They do come home.

Think I would be tempted to go and take a look at the building site and shout him to see if you can hear him talking back to you.

Jac have you tried pringint off some small flyers, posting door to door, at vets, local shops etc?

what about calling local CPL, RSPCA etc.
I rang all the local vets too.
I know it hard what with the holiday weekend.

I do hope he turns up soon for you.
If you don't have a printer I can print some off and post to you if that'd help.

Poor baby, hope he comes home soon

I am so sorry that there is no sign of him as yet Did you check out all the garages and the greenhouses of your neighbours. Might he have got himself locked in one of those if the neighbours are away for the weekend or something?

I really hope C-Fur is home very soon. Don't give up hope Jac. Misty went missing one bank holiday, he had gone into someone's home via their cat flap, but it was locked from the inside so he couldn't get out again. The owners had gone away for the long week-end. He was fine, albeit a bit hungry.

Jac

Well Monday Morning and still no sign of him.
I honestly thought he would have beeen home by now or one of the local kids would have found him. I did go to where theyre building new houses and met a "lovely man". (security guard with Staffs and greman shephards) who reasured me that if "his" dogs were to find a cat they would kill it. Charming eh?
I have a sneeky suspision he is curled up at someones feet some where. When I was at morrisons the other day putting up a lost poster I did notice another two cats that have gone missing. Not great news I know.
Today is lovely and sunny so I intend spending a bit time in the garden. Lets hope he see's me.

Just a thought...do you have a window cleaner? If so ask them to keep a look out in people's houses in case someone has taken him in..

Jac
17-04-2006, 11:43 AM
Brilliant idea Fran. Yes I do, and he only lives two doors away. I'll have a word with his wife if he's not in. Going to go there in a mo. Thanks for that

Going now. Will be back soon.

Jac
20-04-2006, 02:41 PM
Hi everyone
Thanks for all your concern. Sorry but C-Fur has not come home yet. The local kids did bring me a cat but it wasnt him.
Been intouch with everyone I can think of even the local paper. It only comes out once a month. They are putting in a wee bit about him and a picci only it doesn't go out for another two weeks. Dont know what else to do.
My honest oppinion is he has been lifted by someone:cry:

yola
20-04-2006, 02:44 PM
Jac love, I'm so sorry there's been no news

The only consolation is that hopefully, if someone's swiped him as you suspect and is loving him to bits; small comfort to you I know. Just amazes me how little people consider others' feeling when doing such things.

Fran
20-04-2006, 02:44 PM
Oh Jac..I am so very sorry to hear this :( Don't give up hope just yet. He could still come home. Did you speak to the window cleaner?

JAc,
so sorry to hear he hasnt come home yet. i guess your main hope now is that somebody at some time scans him and returns him to you.
It's so worrying when they go missing, and so ahrd when you don't know what happened to them.
Pilchard has been missing three years now, and I still dash after any black and white cats that look like him.

I keep hoping he wall wander in through your back door / catflap anyday now.

Jac - sorry Cfur has gone missing. take a look at this.
This is an e-mail I send to people who have lost their cat. You may have done the things on there already.

Here are some ideas to help you find your lost cat

* * Do some flyers / posters & distribute locally.

* * Register the lost cat at all vets / catteries / rescue homes

* * Leave food out and a toy

* * Ask the local radio station to announce your cat is missing and give out a contact number

* * Put an advert in the local paper

* * Put an advert in your local shop

* * contact the local council as they should keep a register of all cats that have died in road accidents

Finally have a look at these sites -

smudgley,
I wish I had been around on this site when piclahrd went missing, I never knew the council kept records. Grim as it sounds it's the not knowing that was the worst for us when pilchard went missing.

Fingers crossed he turns up somewhere jac

I was also told if you have some of their used cat litter to throw it around the garden the wind can carry the sent for miles and if lost could help direct them back home. It didn't work for us but anything is worth a try. My gorgeous Oliver vanished without a trace its very hard just not knowing sending you hugs and I do hope c fur turns up. One of my cats yrs ago went missing for 3mth and one day dragged herself across the garden very thin and dehydrated but made a full recovery, i couldn't believe it and cried with relief i thought i'd never see her again. I think she'd been locked in a shed or garage that wasn't used very much.

Still hoping for you but also accepting the fact that young cats can wander and attach themselves to people.
When I ws a girl we had a young, coltish, cat walk in on us. Despite asking everywhere (and we were in the village pub - knew everyone, everyone knew us, centre of gossip etc :) ) we never discovered where 'Lucky' (all black and beautiful) came from. :? He lived a long and happy life with us (and ate Maltesers, and hunted lizards and snakes on the railway embankment)

My Bunty went missing one time, just after firework night - my other half accidentally let her out at dusk. She went missing for two weeks - and she is my 'best girl' ... I was out every night calling and calling. I put posters up in the train station (they allowed me to) and on lamp posts, contacted all the usual people - but nothing.

Then one afternoon, I had just got in from my usual hunt for her, and I was sitting in the living room (feeling sick to the pit of my stomach without her) and for some reason I got up and went to the dining room - and there she was!!! Outside the patio doors!! I could not believe it!!!

She was absolutely fine except she was thirsty and rather thin - and she stayed sat on my lap for about two hours after having some food and water. I reckon she must have been shut in a shed - so maybe the same has happened here - might be worth going round asking peeps to check their sheds.

She still doesn't like loud noise or banging noise to this day - but don't give up hope - she will come home. :)

oh just one thing, not sure if you tried pulling on people's ehart strings, but when our cats have done thier walkabouts I've printed on the posters " much loved child's pet"
seems to get a better response for some reason!

Hope you find him real soon

Jac

I actually put on the poster that he was Ceilidh's cat. Which is true, and that she's only 4.

Jac you didn't have any work done in the house about the time he went missing did you? E.g. bathpanel taken off, floor boards lifted? Have you checked loft space and any cellars you might have?

Jac
