I thought I'd start a new thread to record Tizz's progress (hopefully).
Well, the sun is shining, she ate up her breakfast pilchard and had been sitting in the garden looking content for the last hour and a half! (Pics in pics section). She peed in her litter tray (as opposed to all over the floor :? )overnight, so i think that is a good sign too.
Maybe Thursday/Friday was a little downward blip, on her otherwise relatively slow and gentle decline?
More news after the vet tomorrow.

Just back from the vet.......................alone:smt022
The vet was quite hopeful from just looking at/examining her but I left her for blood tests and they were off the scale - creatine over 11,000 etc. So, he called me back and said he wouldn't want to treat.
I went round and held her - she purred until the very end! Sweetie.

(What's the saddest thing in the world? - the empty carrier coming from the vet:( )

Oh I'm (I@m) so very sorry. I know you had mentally prepared for it, but human nature means we all hope against hope and try and put negative thoughts out of our minds. I'm pleased you were able to be there with her.

Darling Tizzie, may she scamper happily for ever more now :( .

:smt058 to everyone; thank you very much. I knew you would know exactly how I feel - there have been too many losses just recently:(
I have finally trundled round the house and picked up bowls, beds, heated pads etc. Didn't want to come down to them in the morning. I still expect I'll prepare for bed by thinking - ah, time to microwave the heat pad, sort out the litter tray etc :?
