I like Amateur Gardening too, except for some of the themes, bit silly. Good seeds as well. I subscribe to Gardening Which? which is also good, if a bit dull at times.

Kitchen Garden is good for fruit & veg. It only comes out half a dozen times a year.
Other than that the BBC Gardeners' World is a reasonable read.
I buy Amateur Gardeninng too, also one special for the North East of Scotland!

Don't know Emma - I'll dig out a mag and see what it says. Maybe it does come out more often than I thought and I don't look for it in the winter - or maybe my local Smiths doesn't stock it in the winter. Will let you know later.

Thanks DM, I found the website www.kitchengarden.co.uk (http://www.kitchengarden.co.uk) and they sell a monthly magazine, you can buy it online and postage is free, I would be interested to know if this is the same magazine?
Thanks!!

That's it!
Usually comes with free goodies - but most of the gardening mags do, don't they? Seeds etc.
It has a lovely feature on keeping poultry, which I pass on to my sister for her bantams - well for her....the fowl can't read!

Well reading through the Kitchen garden magazine they have a reader offer on there at the moment seven packets of veg seed for only £2.30 P&P, I think I am going to send off a set (beetroot, carrot, kale, lettuce, salad mixture, radish, raddichio). I must admit I am very impressed with the magazine so far :)
Does anyone get the weekly Garden News, I like it, and you get free seeds every week, this week its Morning Glory....
I bought Amateur Gardener this week and got some free bulbs......

Moli I don't think I have ever got that one, I subscribe to Amateur Gardening as this was one of the first gardening magazines I ever purchased and I learnt a lot by reading it.
Mags now that I subscribe to AG I get it a bit early (April 22 issue dropped through my letter box today) and it has got some very pretty Aster Milady mixed seeds on there (rrp of £1.79 :) )
