awww poor old boy sounded like his time was up.bless him, and they did try treating him for a year. lovely looking lion though, i do love lions, but can say unsurprisingly i never got very clsoe to one!

Mags was kind enough to link this for me. I saw him frequently; he was a magnificent beast here at our Zoo & I felt so sad when he was PTS. He was named after the famous (infamous?) maneater of Tsavo who ate a large number of people when they were installing a railroad in his territory in Africa back in the 19th (maybe early 20th) century.
