Although I am still working on Bootsy for Fran (I can only do that at weekends due to the size and needing natural light) I thought I would start the next drawing on the list, this one is of Claude. I will post the WIP as I go :)
I hope everybody can make out this photo, the camera really struggles without natural light and my batteries are on their way out!!!! arrggghhh
So we have just a line drawing at the moment, I will first work on the eyes and nose :)

Oh dear CJ, perhaps you could just do with a little bit more practice. My style with coloured pencil is very much realistic perhaps you would be better with a more looser style :)

The colours of the above photo are more or less spot on to the real drawing.
Donna
18-03-2006, 12:14 PM
Wow!!! How much more do you have to do on this one Emma? Is there a background in mind?
EmmaG
18-03-2006, 12:16 PM
Not much more to do on this one, finish off the foot and the bottom half of the fur and then the background.
Well I am thinking perhaps just a little bit of grass around Claude. and where the * is I am going to draw something else...anybody guess what that could be??

EmmaG
21-03-2006, 11:20 PM
I love the way you are almost mesmerized by his eyes and what he is looking at... :)
You have captured the concentration in his eyes really well.......
EmmaG
21-03-2006, 11:26 PM
Must admit Mags I was a bit concerned with the eyes as the photo I have got the pupil is actually a green/blue from the flash and it is hard to see any highlights (the highlights tend to make the eyes come alive and even on a very good photos it is hard to see them to draw sometimes) but it worked out fine (sometimes the bits I worry about just happen without any problems and I surprise myself!! lol)
His eyes seem to draw you as soon as you look at the pic....
EmmaG
21-03-2006, 11:54 PM
Yes they do :) and they look even better in real life, I will try and get a better photo at the weekend, a close up of his face so you can see the detail a bit more.
Me and Fran have been debating the lack of tail, so I am going to add one ;)
Do you know Emma, I didn't even notice the lack of a tail!

EmmaG
22-03-2006, 12:26 AM
The tail is no problem :) and I would prefer that you are happy with the drawing, especially now I have pointed it out!!! lol
Yes as soon as the fixative turns up I will spray this one and Nat's drawing and send them both out. I will be cracking on with bootsy soon ;)
