Sorry folks and thanks for all your concern. Wiggy is absolutely fine, albeit a couple ounces lighter! :-D

I asked the Vet to investigate the scratching behind the ears and top of head thing,he thought there was a possibility he had mites, skin mites confined to Cats, that do not burrow but cause itching. He said they would look in a skin scrape to see if they could see any. They couldnt but it didnt mean 100% that they were not there. Scooter the other night decided he could do the same, scratch his head and behind his ears, I also mentioned this. Wiggys ears on first inspection looks spotless, beautifully clean and no smell, under the scope there was puss at the bottom of them, totally invisible to the eye, but obviously a problem. Although they could not be 100% certain that this was the cause for the scratching, he was fairly sure it was. I took Scooter down on the eve for him to see, that Cat is 13yrs old and NEVER had any sort of ear problem, in fact he has only ever been neutered and stitched up through a barbed wire incident! His ears looked super, but again under the scope there was puss at the bottom, I saw it myself so there was no mistake. They said there was many things, just like us that get passed from Cat to Cat and this was probably one of them. Result. Each Cat gets the "spot on" for mites, should there be any and 2 Cats get Canaural for their ears. So, one Cats castrate at £37.00 and one microchip at £19.99, turned into £134.75!!! But so what, they are worth it!! Sorry to ramble, but I thought I would explain it all to you. Thank you for your concern. Oh and NO scratching at all today!:-D
Dawn.
