oh and i found this bit of info too....

The oldest living cat is Creme Puff of Austin Texas. Born on August 3rd 1967, Creme Puff celebrated her 38th birthday in August 2005.
Also deserving a mention are Puss, who was born in 1903. Puss was owned by Mrs T. Holway of Devon. Puss passed away on 29th November, 1939, one day after his 36th birthday.
The second is Granpa who lived to the ripe old age of 34. Granpa Rexs Allen (http://www.petpublishing.com/catkit/articles/grandpa.shtml) (Granpa for short) was a Sphyx adopted from the Humane Society in Texas

i could be gone 50 by time mine go then, if they lived that long. at that age i wouldnt home another young one, as i'd outlive it and then it'd need rehoming, i'd rescue an oldy

Showed this thread to my kids - they are so scared the cats will not live long - they only had hamsters before and they died quickly - the kids are very happy to know Misty and Chloe could be with us for another 30 odd years!!!:-P

we had our hammy for 3 years now. She bites one person and one person only ME! She has never bitten anybody else.I wear thos thick workmens gloves now to get her out of her cage. that in itself is a pain, she got a rotastack with tubes everywhere, space stations, observatories, so she can easily waddle off lol

try getting them a gupi, see how long it takes them to notice lol

when my 7 year old was 3 i put a teddy hamster in an old cage we ahd, he never did know lol
