He goes out for half an hour every evening, tonight he came in with his ear bleeding, under his nose bleeding and his fur coming out in tufts!, The neighbours cats don't fight with mine, so no idea what has happened to him....I have bathed the ear, looks like a bite, and checked him over, can't find anymore injuries...:(

Aww poor Leo Moli:shock: Does it look like a cat bite....or anything bigger?
Did you bathe his ear in salt water or a mild TCP solution just in case there is any infection? I wonder if it is any of 'Dolittle's' animals?:?
I hope he will be alright......

I bathed his ear with salt water Mags, He is not a cat to fight, and wonder if something has cornered him....Doolittles cats run away from him, I didn't muck about too much with him, just cleaned him up, but will go over him again, once he is calmer....

:( :( :(

Most foxes wouldn't tackle a healthy cat.... very strange indeed Moli.

Most foxes wouldn't tackle a healthy cat.... very strange indeed Moli.Hubby was reading in a paper today, about a fox attacking a cat, it bite it's leg off, seemingly foxes are becoming braver now:( Don't think it was a fox...Wish I knew what it was though...:(

Some female foxes will tackle a cat when they have cubs to feed but as a rule they will usually leave cats alone..

You don't think he has had a run in with a rat do you? other than that maybe a wandering Tom cat.

Glad he's on the mend I think we have to realise if we let them out - which they adore, then we have no idea of their life style.

Think I will get a min camera and attach it to his head, then I will see what he gets up to, possibly could have been a rat!!

Yeah Moli, call in David Attenborough or Bill Oddie. And get them to wire him up soyou can check out his behaviour away from you, call it Walk on the Wildside,;) it could have been a rat your description of the injury nose, and ear with tufts of fur reminded me of Oscars encounters with rate when he was younger as he got better he despatched them without incident. but it takes a brave or in Oz's case a dozy cat to tackle a rat,

I was thinking maybe a rat :? hope you get to the bottom of it Moli and that Leo is ok. He may just need a covering course of ABs especially if it was a rat
