Anybody see this is on the news this morning?

2 college students posted a live hamster as a prank :shock: They have been fined and banned from owning pets for 10 years, I think it was.

How sad are some people?

And the really sad thing is that they are supposed to be clever!
At least the creature survived - ate its way out of the package and suprised the postman!

that is so sick - I don't even see what could be so funny about doing that - I don't think the punishment is good enough either - what do they post a picture to all pet shops saying don't sell these people any animals!

What a disgusting thing to do to the poor creature. How do they enforce the ban? I think a 10 year ban is a good result but just how realistic is it? I think they should have been made to work in an animal shelter for nothing for 10 years. Bet they'd have a different view on how animals should be treated after that experience.
