Yesterday we got a phone call about a cat with kittens that were living outside,we were told the mom was very thin - so they were put as a priority & someone went out last night to try & catch them. There are 4 kittens - 2 were nowhere to be seen, one was caught & the other ran off! The mom was very friendly & easy to catch, but as the other kittens couldn't be caught it was decided to let her go to keep her babies warm. They are about 5 weeks old. I have got the baby here, he was thin & grubby & covered in flea dirt. But now after some food, a comb, a bath & a frontline, a snuggle pad & a vet bed & he's happy as Larry.
Aww how sad :( will you have another go at trying to catch them Smudgely?

Yes - but I didn't go last night as I was working really late (trouble with some pups & had to foster 11 pups out:shock:  ) some other people went
I would like to go tonight as I am worried about the little poppets, I don't know the exact location but am trying to contact the lady who does & see if I can go out there.
I hope you manage to get them all Smudgley...it's so cold out there this time of year :(

Oh:(
I would have him like a shot if we were a bit nearer. Don't think the little soul needs a 150 mile journey at the mo.
Hope the others turn up and can be rescued too.
You are a star Smudge! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_19_3.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824YYGB)
If you want a hand to try and catch them give me a shout I don't mind a drive I come complete with "nice highly desirable much loved kitty food" ;) and a basket or two and warm clothes,:-D this weekend and Thursday/Fri night are fine for me,
Karen
Poor kitties and mum:( I hope you are able to round them up soon Smudgley....they must be so cold and miserable at this time of the year...:(

Good news is the other 3 kittens have been seen today - BUT mommy has moved to the neighbours garden now:roll: babies in tow.
We are going to hopefully get them soon. I have only just found out where they are & thought it best not to go now as the chances would be slim of catching them in the dark with just a torch. At least they are being fed.
My little man looks all lovely & snug now & loves his food! He is perched on top of his snuggle pad. (bless) He needs a name?
this will be the L litter.
Thanks for the offer of help Kazz - but I think we are ok this time, maybe some other time though ;)
No probs and ANYTIME honestly.:D
Oh naming again, great:-D L Right off I go this ones already been named by you hasn't he? Larry

Glad to hear the little one is doing okay. Hope you manage to catch the others. What wonderful work you do. I am not far from you, and although I cannot offer a permanent home to any more cats (OH would pack his bags!) I would be willing to hand rear or foster.

Thanks Kim. :)
He is fine today - he has been sat on top of his snuggle pad for hours:roll: and he eats loads of food. He has got a mini-litter tray which I made from a plastic ice-cream tub that I cut down & he uses it. I think that is so cute, he potters over to his toilet - does what he needs to - covers it up:roll: & climbs back on top of his snuggle pad.
Glad to here you got them all;)

Fingers crossed you catch the rest of them Smudge
Well done in catching this little one. How anyone can throw them out, which is what has probably happened seen as the mom is friendly, is beyond me.
