:smt023 Hi guys, I started a thread a while back about wanting to raise some funds for my local branch of the cat rescue charity I'm involved with. Thankyou for all your ideas & I have decided to do a raffle - that way it's an easy - one off way of doing my bit to help pay for some of the vet bills etc for the cats. I thought this way anyone on here who wants to take part can do so quite easily.

I thought if anyone wants tickets they can send me the money & then instaed of me sending all the tickets back in the post I could post your ticket numbers on here. That way everyone knows who's got what & then when we are ready to do the draw (to take place around Christmas time) I am going to get my boss to do the honours & draw out the tickets for me.

Tickets will be 50p each.
1st prize is a £20 voucher for ASDA (easy to post if any of you guys win)
Then I have loads of other prizes including lots of "very posh" cat collars donated by our very own "Emm" and also lots of toys she has donated too. Well worth having a go. The collars are really beautiful. I could even post some pics of them & do a proper list of prizes - so come on please, please be generous :cat21 & let me know how many tickets you want. Every 50p will help the cats directly.

All the prizes are easy to post except a bottle of wine - but if one of you win that I'm sure we can sort out an alternative prize if needbe.

PS I have looked after 46 rescue cats since I became involved in January 05 & hopefully will continue to help many more cats throughout 2006.

Thankyou all in advance

EDIT TO ADD - all the people involved in the charity are volunteers from fosterers right through to the main co-ordinator, so you can be assured that every penny raised goes to help the cats. :smt023

I have sent you a PM about the raffle but have you considered having a cat or dog show for sometime next year to help raise funds. I know a rescue centre near to us does it. They also do a pet photo competition which is even easier and gets a great response. Everyone on here could take part in that and spread the word. Approach pet companies for prizes. Hope this helps and keep up the good work.

I will post my money tomorrow. Sorry I haven't done it yet but I had a little accident in the car and have had to sort it out. I swerved to avoid a sheepdog and hit some railings. It dented the front wing , took the front bumper off and broke the wing mirror, but at least the dog was ok. I don't think it will come back here in a hurry!!!
