going to have his 'bits and pieces' removed tomorrow  If you remember he has a retained testicle which they have to locate  It hasn't descended and is obviously not going to, so off he goes in the morning :(

It's such a worry putting them under anaesthetic isn't it?

Dropped Claude off at 9am this morning at our local branch..they run him through to the hospital in a near by town and his op will be around this time now :( They gave him a little sedation as he was not a happy bunny and I am covered in scratches where he wanted to escape and not stop there  Incidently Claude is 3.7Kg

Claude is around 7 1/2 months now. Yes it is a bigger op. If they can't find the testicle in his groin then they will have to open his abdomen to locate it :( I can phone at 4ish Moli...

Claude is home and quite the opposite of dopey, he is a little hyper active  He has stitches in his abdomen so I guess that's where his testicle was hiding  I didn't see the vet to ask but will find out on Friday when he goes for his wound check. He has to have the stitches out in 10 days time...

Moli

Has he a lot of stitches PK???he hasn't got as a lampshade has he??

I haven't counted the stitches Moli...thought I'd just let him settle back in before I start upsetting him again

He hasn't got a lampshad but obviously if he starts to mess with the stitches then I have to go and get him one...

I know I feel so guilty John - having put him through this :( But to be honest he will have worn himself out as when he first came home he was hyperactive and running round like a lunatic

Fran
17-11-2005, 10:57 AM
Thank you DM...Claude is very much brighter and more back to 'normal' this morning :D

Only problem I have now is that he is supposed to stop in until he has his stitches removed a week on Friday and he is desperetly trying to get outside  If I lock the cat flaps one way so the others can get in but none can get out Claude can open them and get out  so I have to lock them both ways so nothing can get in or out  It's going to be a fun week!!

Hows Casper this morning Moli?

Moli
17-11-2005, 11:02 AM
Hi PK, great to hear Claude is getting back to normal...
Casper is still hyper, goodness knows what they have done to him!!!

Fran
17-11-2005, 11:06 AM
Well if it's any consolation Moli, Claude is a little hyper he's pacing up and down trying to get out

Fran
17-11-2005, 11:41 AM
Claude and Clooney are charging all over the house and rolling about and play fighting with each other...surely can't be good for Claude's stitches  even Maud's joining in too. If those stitches survive until this time next week it will be a miracle

Well, he has managed to get out  aided and abetted by Maddie  Maddie was out side poking her nose through the cat flap. The cat flap was locked so the others could get in but Claude couldn't get out. Maddie shoved her nose through thus opening it, Claude put his paw in to keep it open whilst he hurridly slid his body through before I could get to him :? God only knows what state his stitches will be in when he gets in and he is supposed to having a vet check this afternoon
