Poor thing. I think (hope) it's down to gluttony but she's very listless this morning. Not hot, breathing fine.

However, last night we had trout, pan fried in butter and I took the skin off the fillets before I served it - and left it by the cooker, intending to put it in the dog's bowl for this morning. It disappeared! Guess who is the prime suspect? :)

So, I think I'll just leave her and if we get sun later I'll encourage her to go out and walk it off. I would imagine that is quite a large amount of very rich food inside a relatively small tummy. Think it's too long ago for her to be :smt078 but she looks as though she is just not comfortable.

Perhaps she'll learn from the experience? Yeah - that'll be right! :cat21

Thanks all!

Newsflash

Min went out, slowly and reluctantly, with a hard fat belly at 12.10.
She came in more quickly and 'smiling' with a flat belly at 12.20 and is now sitting in a shaft of sunlight, pounds lighter and obviously feeling much better.

I guess her digestion is not so good as she gets older - I'll be a bit more careful with food scraps to stop her scavenging. She's still not looking for food, so I'll cook up some plain white fish for later and hopefully she'll be back to normal tomorrow. :cat21

Cats! Who'd have 'em?!

Glad she's a little better I learnt the "poor digestion" senario a while ago Oscar has always been a glutton and now make sure nothing is in reach of idle paws. That way I know what he and Cleo are eating. Another sign of age the heart is willing the digestion is sadly lacking behind.:D

Poor Mini! I hope she recovers soon!
My cat when I was a teenager, Smoky ate the top off all of Mums mince pies one Christmas! Also, Mum used to cook chicken liver pate for a local shop (she was an excellent cook) and one day Smokey ate the whole top off a big earthenware bowl of pate she had just cooked! Needless to say she was a wee bit unwell the next couple of days! She had a belly like a barrel she had eaten soo much!

Yup
She's still quiet, still no appetite but I'm sure she's starting to feel better.
Oh dear - the things we blame ourselves for..............

Haven't had any 'eaten food' horrors but I do remember baking an apple cake for a school event, feeling proud of myself for having done the 'supermum' thing, went out and left it cooling on a rack and came in to find a cat (can't remember who) snuggled up asleep on top of this lovely warm thing:shock:

Think I just gave up and made some scones!
