Well today i havent been in the best frames of moods, and have taken things to heart very easy, dont know why but i had this odd sense of numness all day long. Then around 15 minutes ago my aunt rang us to give us the sad news Balderick had, had to be PTS. I have told the story many times, Balderick had been our old boy, but when his sister died he almost pined to death, he craved company of older cats but due to circumstances taking on an older cat we could not do, so my aunt took him in with her old pair.
So yes i am very sad today, aparentlly Balderick never left his basket this morning, as he was growing long in years this was quite the norm for him not to awake until after noon. So my aunt went out shopping, returned home and balderick was mewing frantically and waddling around, all of a sudden he had bleeding from his rear end, quite a mass gush of it. So my aunt rushed him to the vet, i dont know what it actually was but something ruptured inside of him and the vet said it was best to put him to sleep. So tonight Balderick goes to the bridge to join our other cats and most importantlly his sister Elspeth.
We are all very sad, ad my aunt said how the house seems so empty, her other members of meangire (sp) seem so dispondant. He was such a character aswell, he used to sit in with my aunts collection of ferrets and share their food, when he lived with us he and Elspeth would sleep ontop of the big grandfather clock we had and when the hour struck they would both fall off in surpirse, they still did it though even though they knew what to expect:roll:
It is a very sad loss of a very special cat, and he will be greatly missed

Sweetie I'm so very sorry. You must be heartbroken that such a good and faithful companion has left you.

I know what you mean about that uneasy feeling . . . anticipating something without quite knowing what it's going to be.
