Mitten has been run over.

This morning I got a phone call to say someone had just ran over my cat "Mitten" & not even bothered to stop.
She died instantly.
A very nice couple saw it happen & went to the trouble to stop & see if she was still alive - they wrapped her in a blanket & phoned me. They offered to bring her to me - but I walked up to them instead.
As you can imagine we are all devastated.

For those of you who don't know me - Hi - I know there's a lot of new members. I have been too busy these last few weeks to spend any time on CP. But I used to be a real "catpages-aholic."

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone - it's been really hard. - we are all finding it hard to accept she's gone. we had her from 6 weeks old & she had been with us 5 years.
There was no-one purring on my husbands pillow last night & that was really hard for him.:cry:

I'm so very sorry for the loss of Mitten. I'm one of the 'new ones' an although I don't know you, my heart goes out to you.

Small consolation; it was instant. And thank heaven there are still people out there who care; that couple that got in touch were the decent ones.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. It's very hard to accept she's gone & never going to come back. We had no time to say goodbye & we miss her so much.

I know it's hard. I was like that when I lost Sasha. It took me ages to change my profile and update the web site. It was liike ignoring her existance. does that sound weird? You will get there. Time will help you although she'll never really leave.
