Garden being done!

well i dont know why but mum in her infanant wisdom is planning on booking people in, in January to do our garden!
she wants the lawn gone and everything changed!
so i need your ideas, we want a fancy patio, got any ideas or pics?
is it wise having gravel with dogs and cats?
also we want a water feature of some kind, any ideas or pics?
HELP she is booking these ppl without a single idea of what she wants, typical:roll:

Luke before anyone could even consider giving advice you'd need to post a couple of photo's of what the garden looks like now - not everything is suitable for every garden
