Our beloved Tic passed over the bridge on September 02, 2005 and is missed very much. Below you will find a photo of him and a poem that I wrote.

We gave a gift to God today,
A piece of our hearts,
A piece of our souls,
A piece of our lives.

We gave a gentle heart,
A raucous purr,
A beautiful kitty smile,
And beautiful yellow eyes.

We gave a friend as loving,
As a loving heart can be,
A trust so pure and open,
And a touch as soft as thistledown.

We gave Him our precious Ticker.
To comfort and hold dear,
To bring joy to even angels eyes,
To dance upon the clouds.

Yes, I dreamed a little dream tonight,
My man was pictured there,
Moving through a field of pretty flowers,
Moving slowly away from me.

Yet he stopped and sniffed the petals,
As I have often seen him do,
And he turned and looked my way again,
And I swear these words are true.

It's ok daddy, I'm not afraid,
And here I'll wait for you,
And daddy, mommy and all the rest,
Thank you and I love you!

Goodbye my little man.

Thank you all.... Tic was my kitty also. Kittyfoot wrote the poem and I am sure he will thank you also when he returns from work.

Tic was a one of a kind cat. He weighed 27 lbs but was a real gentle giant. We still have his twin brother Tac who is a wee bit smaller at 17 lbs. Both the guys travelled down here from Canada with me.

Tic has been a big part of my life and still is. I miss him very much, but I know he's in a better, painfree place awaiting the rest of us. Should you hear a low rumble in the sky some day, it's not thunder.... it's ol' Tic man giving purring lessons to the cats of Heaven. :D

Thanks Yola. Just coming to this thread makes me sad and makes me miss him so much. He always laid down on our feet while we were at the computer!!!

Y'know, it's strange and I doubt that anyone but a cat person would begin to understand but I still sure do miss my buddy Tic. Sitting here at the computer, I miss the way he used to come in and curl up across my feet and purr. He had the loudest purr you ever heard... all raspy from way down in his chest. There was something very special between Tic and I.... and part of me left with him.
