I have been doing this over the past 6 months with my cats and it is so funny how they react. Bronwyn goes totally crazy and Arthur will blink back at me. Does anybody else do this with their cats? and if so how do they react.

Do you mean blinking both eyes together?

Yep! I do it all the time, it is meant to show some reassurance and that you are also 'happy'.. its cat language

yes both eyes together, I find the slower you do it the better...I will video Bronwyns reaction sometime as it is really funny..

Oh you can also yawn at the same time as the blinking as this is extra reassurance to your cat :)

I know that if a cat sits with his her back to you it means they are cross with you for some reason!

I had to reassure my partners VERY nervous moggy when we first met. Slow blinking seemed to stop him running off. Our relationship blossomed (and the one with my partner!) and he even let me pick him up (no mean feat as he was huge!) which is something he didn't like at all when I first met him.

Big soppy so and so sadly gone now but fresh kittens on the way...

I do it with Ed, but Coco and Sasha don't really seem to get it. Ed and I can sit and gaze at each other for several minutes doing this.
