The only time i was measured for a bra was whilst pregnant.
Now i take pot luck but must admit to having some pretty uncomfortable bras.
Good luck on wed.

Re: Measured for a bra...

I measured myself only last week and ordered a new bra from M&S online. Fits perfectly!

I found this site particularly helpful - but you have to get the tape measure straight, so my hubby helped me measure.

Re: Measured for a bra...

Never done it but my sister has and was amazed at the difference the 'correct' bra made to both her shape and how comfortable she felt. She went down a back size and up a cup size.

Be interesting to see what the diference is between what you wear and what you should wear!

Follow Angies link or get measured.....apparently bra's should not be uncomfortable....or leave red indents in your shoulders.....

I also did a quick product review. IMO, M&S is by far the best value for money and has the widest range. You can search by size, which is nice.

Re: Measured for a bra...

What an interesting thread! I was only measured once at about 14 when my Mom took me to the department store for my first bra. I've worn a 36 B all my adult life; I do suspect it's probably the wrong size as nothing feels better when I get home than taking the bra off!! And with gravity and sagging, I suspect I need a smaller cup now.

Re: Measured for a bra...

We have a lovely little lingerie shop in town that has a nice assistant that measures you for a bra. She is a larger lady (like me) and no spring chicken, (also like me) so I feel comfortable with her measuring me!! I have comfortable bras, but like Eileen says it is lovely to take it off in the evening!
