Cat Flap Help!!!!!

Hi All
I'm just in the process of ordering a catflap for snowball....
Snowball weighs 8kg and is 34cm tall....do you think I need a 'large' catflap or just a standard? My husband doesn't want a large and would like a small one but I need to know that snowball will fit through it/ be willing to go through it..does anyone have experience of larger cats going through standard size doors? He isn't a 'fat cat' just a big boy and the vet says he is actually a little underweight for his size.
Any advice gratefully received!!!!
Rebecca

Re: Cat Flap Help!!!!!

I have a standard PetPorte - fancy microchip jobby. Fine for both my fairly small cats - Kizzy and Pip but also fine for Harley who is a big cat and is now actually excluded for bullying (different thread/story). My point being that a "standard" sized flap can be OK for both sizes! No idea what Harley weighs but I would put him in the "large" size - as you say, not fat, just a big cat!

Good luck with your choice.
