Lucky Gone but never forgotten

Hi I saw this section and thought I would tell you about our little cross Russian Blue that we lost last year, The pain has eased now and we are left with the happy memories, He is in our china cabinet so he is always close,
We got Lucky when he was 5 weeks old his mother had rejected her kitten and the owner wanted rid of them, I bottle fed lucky day and night then weaned him on to kitten food so we were close from the start, he was such a loving cat he never got bigger than a kitten and when we got him the vet didnt hold out very much hope but he lived and loved for 9 months, When his time came it happen so fast he was gone in hours, I know he will always be with us and one day we will meet again on raindow bridge, this is a poem i wrote when we lost our special boy.

Dear Lucky my baby boy

I love you little my lad
At the moment I am so very sad
I can’t believe you’re gone so soon
Up there in heaven the other side of the moon

Are you watching up there?
I cry so many tears I know people stare
You were taken so fast
As you last breath past

I wish you could have said what was causing your pain
Then we could have taken the strain
If you could of just stayed strong
You are a good boy never did anything wrong

From the day we got you home on to the bottle you sucked
In to your bed you were tucked
From the treat in your dish
Whether it be meat or fish

Each time I had a cup of tea
I knew what was coming across the room you would spree
Then sup sup sup
I would be left with an empty cup

I miss the way you walked a lad about town
You looked like a clown
Trying to be all grown up
But we all knew you were just a soft pup

Your daddy will miss the way you cuddled
You and him in a tight huddle
All night asleep on his chest
That’s the only way your daddy could get some rest

And now we are left just us three
Daddy, Skye and Me
So fly on high little baby of mine
Twinkling at night in the stars divine

So sorry for your loss

He really was a lucky kitten, you gave him so much love in his short life ..... he is now free from pain and has left you with many happy memories.

Your poem is lovely and comes from your heart....

Take care ...

So sorry that Lucky went so very young, but he had a caring loving family and was very lucky himself for that. RIP Lucky - never forgotten.
