Re: Cats and Collars

Anyone know any prices on microchipping in South Wales please? Vets gave me price of £15.20 each & I am hoping to find it a bit cheaper, especially for the 5 of them. Cheapskate I am, lol. Rocky was done when he was a puppy but need to get my moggies done asap.

Yup, we charge about £19 routinely for microchipping so £15.20 is quite cheap, although I realise it's a lot when you have 5 cats!

Maybe vets surgery quoted £15.20 as a discount because you were getting all 5 done....

Dylan's microchipped and he wears a collar to protect the local wildlife population. In theory.

Same with Solomon, I had him microchipped last time he went to the vet, and he now wears a blue collar (to match his eyes!) with a bell. I'm not sure whether it works, at least he hasn't brought in any "presents" lately!

Thanks for the replies, probably was a discount as they discounted their vacc's for us too.

Re: Cats and Collars

I always used to put colars on my cats until one of my girls (demi) nearly hanged herself by getting her collar caught on my neighbours wire fence
I was luckly that they were able to help me rescue her or she would have been dead
Now i don,t use them none of my cats wear collars

Re: Cats and Collars

Mine only wore collars for about 2 days when they where little. They are all chipped except Gabby and Maisey who will be done when they get speyed. I must be lucky as my vet only charges £12.50
