Whoops! Of course it was Lola by the Kinks that I meant! Maybe I'm getting premature Aldzheimers (LOL)...and it is definitely MY vintage also!!

Layla is definitely Eric Clapton as that is the song my Leila (although spelt differently) is named after, that and the fact it is a Persian name and means 'dark' and her black parts are very dark.

Hi dandysmom & welcome properly!

Now Molly has been confirmed as a calico rather than a blue/cream tortie, I'm dying to see a picture of your blue tortie so I can see the difference! Hope you can post one soon.

Hi, LMC! Actually, I've learned that she's a torbie, not a tortie! But a beautiful 14 pound 6 year old beauty (not that I'm the least bit prejudiced, of course..!!) As I mentioned earlier, I'm a senior citizen who's not very tech savvy and I just can't seem to get the hang of posting on a forum....can attach to an e-mail with no problem, but that's about it. But I'm still trying to figure it out: have pix in Photobucket, my Yahoo photos, and in the iPhoto on my E Mac. But..... maybe one of these days!! Your Molly is a lovely cat; give her a hug from this Stateside old gal. Happy New Year!!
