Bubbles says "hello"

Hello

I am new here.... scary isn't it. The new kid on the block....
I ahve had cats all my life, but they were all strays which decided to stay, so I am quite used to older, grumpy cats. We now have a kitten for the first time, and it is a steep learning curve. He is a real cutie, and allthough I didn't want a ginger Tom-Cat, he is already growing on me. He is Ginger and Cream with no white what so ever, so thats quite a cool colour, he has also got a spotted belly, so he looks a little bit like a Bengal. Very beautiful markings.
When we first got him, he was covered in Fleas, but thanks to some drops from the Vet, he is now creapy-crawly free. He still has some blood in his poop, so I guess the worming treatment wasn't as successful, any tips here, which one is the best one in the UK ? The one I had was a paste which had to be squirted into his mouth (much to his disgust). He is due for another course soon, so hopefully that will clear it up.
He is also starting to explore the big outdoors (allthough the lady where I got him from let her cats out all the time, so he was already used to it). He loves climbing shrubs, but hates the grass and the rain and windy weather scares him.... LOL, not really a cat for this country ?
I am impressed by his litter tray manners. He will not go anywhere else, even if he doesn't like the litter. So that's cool, but he also runs in from the garden to go on the tray...not quite the idea.... I am not used to this litter tray thing. I was hoping we would need it less, once he starts going outdoors ? I guess it's early days yet. He is easy to teach, but I am putting this down to him being a kitten. Older cats (especially grumpy strays) are much harder to teach anything. They just tend to ignore me, until the nagging gets too much.

Anyway, here is some piccies:

Cheers
Mad

Hi and welcome,

Yes it is a bit scary being a newbie, but get posting and you won't be a newbie for long

Bubbles is totally gorgeous, I love the pictures of him on the computer chair and in the bushes.

As for a wormer I use Panacur favourites, it is a tablet that most cats will eat (smells like an oxo cube )
