Sunny Scotland

I thought you may like to see a few of the photos we took on our travels round Scotland last week . We had hoped to get up Aberdeen way too, but not to be this time.

The Loup o' Fintry

Loch Lomond

Oban

Culzean Castle and grounds

Auld Alloway Kirk (Think Tam O'Shanter ) Ayr

Re: Sunny Scotland

I think these really old gravestones in the Auld Alloway graveyard are amazing. Did you see the one with all the skulls. I have a few photos of these, just think of the work and skill it took to carve them.

We were at Culzean for lunch last week! It's lovely - did you walk along the beach too

Great pics - makes me realise I live in a gorgeous country.

Re: Sunny Scotland

Yes I did callismum They are fab aren't they, it really is an atmospheric place. It was wednesday of last week we went to Culzean, first time we had been (joined the NT this year ), and thoroughly enjoyed it, such a beautiful place. No I didn't go on the beach, but my hubby and youngest daughter did. Too much for me with the old stick lol, my eldest and I drove down to the Swan pond and enjoyed ourselves there waiting for them to join us.

Me too Elaine I'd rather walk round a graveyard than lounge beside a pool lol. Such peaceful places and some stunning works of art to be seen. Also makes you think of history and times gone by

Me too - so no snide from me. They are so interesting.
