Dee'ogee

K's best friend, 11 year old st. bernard/lab mix "Dee'ogee" is not walking and we'll be bringing her in a few hours for the vet to see. Waiting on his parents to show so I can have someone help me lift 100 lbs. of dog into the truck.
We think she may have hurt her foot by the way she's carrying it but her back legs come and go too so I don't know if it's just something that needs a splint or something more serious.
She already has epilepsy and arthritis on a regular basis, hope nothing too bad..fingers crossed.
We're well aware she's an old girl. I also know K will be devastated if it's something not fixable...

Oh Poor Dee'ogee. And poor your friend too. I love the St Bernard dog, though I've only ever seen one of them in RL, and I couldn't actually own one, all I've ever heard of them makes them seem like a wonderful pet to have (once properly trained!!!)

Re: Dee'ogee

Hi guys, sorry little late to update..we were exhausted and went to sleep after getting home..
She's still here. Her arthritis has gotten bad enough that the joints are becoming calcified. Her range of motion is poor and so is muscle mass in her legs. The one leg was essentially freezing up.
Vet wants to try some meds before we make any decisions about future..see how she responds to them. He's gonna check with us on Monday and if no better then try stronger meds and we'll just go from there..so old girl is home now and resting. Also started walking again so we are hopeful now.
