Sir Woofalot goes back to school this evening


Sir Woofalot Barkiss starts his Intermediate course this evening. His new name is because that's what he's doing a lot just now!

Good boy vibes please - he will know some of the young dogs as many will be "going up" with him. Don't know if there may be new boys and girls.

Welllllllllll ............. although I'm afraid that the "be quiet" vibes didn't actually work, he was a good boy generally and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening's training session. There weren't that many dogs there but one "stranger" which excited Sir Woof as he wanted to meet and greet! The funniest thing was an exercise of "distant downs" where owners tried to get their dogs to lie down and repeat the exercise moving further away from their dog. This was done one dog/owner at a time with others sitting round and watching. Every time an owner said "down" to their dog, Monty lay down. We were in stitches - but it proved that Monty understands what "down" means at the very least.

I think this course is going to be quite hard work, but fun.

He's a good lad really and quick on the uptake too it seems. A s for the barking, it will settle down in time but be prepared for boughts of it from time to time. Little dogs like our sometimes get overwhelmed by exciting new places, people and animals. The main thing is that YOU remain calm. xxx
