Re: Meet Indy

Aww Elaine she's so cute. Hard to beleive you need gloves to pick her up . Do you think a cat forum is the best place to put her pic up? I thought about that when I put up ceilidh's hamster on here. Had visions of all the cats with there maps out

Re: Meet Indy

She's lovely Elaine - beautiful colour and she is a big girl!!!

What kind of hamster is she?

I only really remember having Russian hamsters as a kid.

Re: Meet Indy

She is a massive, plump hamster, she is 7 or 8 months old. She's a Syrian hamster. Syrian hamsters naturally live alone as individuals and only come together for mating.
She seems a little less stressed this morning but still on her guard, poor wee thing. I do hope she will settle completely and enjoy her life here.

Re: Meet Indy

Is she full grown now, or will she get larger? Have never had or known any hamsters, but she's really a cutie!

Re: Meet Indy

Indy has settled in nicely now. She had loads of fun in her hamster ball today while I cleaned the tank . I didnt try to handle her to get her into the ball, she just went in herself, bless her. Eva waited excitedly at the other side of a closed door. On the whole though the cats arent too bothered by her so we may be ok. Am still being a bit cautous though.
