Colours

Hi

The rescue we got Amber from said she was a grey (silver) tabby. Then, her coat was very dull, not in good condition at all. At her first jab the vet said she was blue/cream tabby Three weeks later with regular grooming & good food in form of Nature Menu & R Canin kibble freely given she is very different & even to my inexperienced eyes, she is definitely blue & not grey. Im not so sure of the "cream". Its more a deep blue with lighter blue

Any idea what the colour is called? Photos dont do her justice, she comes out looking like a grey or indeed silver tabby!!

Re: Colours

From memory of your pictures, Amber looks fairly similar in colouring to dandysmom's Leia ..................... but probably the markings are different.

Eileen?

Re: Colours

Hard to say without a pic, and as Velvet said the color doesn't always come out exactly true in photos. Here's a pic of Leia, who is a blue brindled torbie (TORtoise shell taBBY), also known as a blue-patched tabby. "Blue" is the cat fancy term for a grey cat. Does this help any?

Re: Colours

Occurred to me that the first pic didn't show off Leia's tabby markings for comparison (any excuse to post another pic, LOL )

Re: Colours

She is hard to categorize! I'd say a blue-spotted tabby from the first pic, if there's such a category. Is her tummy spotted? Whatever, she's gorgeous!
